Johannesburg to Matobo National Park or vacinity

Depart early, travelling north to cross the border at Beitbridge round about lunchtime. Continue northwards to our over night stop in Matobo National Park, a historical site with amongst other things the grave of Cecil John Rhodes. We will visit Worlds view, a spectacular site after which we camp at Malene dam. Around a African campfire you will be treated to a typical South African Braai

After a leisurely start we travel to the quaint town of Victoria Falls, here time allowing you are free to wander around, exploring the multitude of curio shops and to view the phenomenal Victoria Falls a mighty wall of water over a Kilometre wide, plunging 200m into a boiling torrent below. There after we cross the mighty Zambezi river into Zambia. After checking in at the border we head for our over night base camp " Batoka" for dinner and over night.

Day 3, 4,5 and 6

After an early breakfast the "Hell walk" commences with your experienced guide. A circular route 6 km below Victoria Falls along the Zambezi River on the Zambian side .A difficult challenging trail, sleeping in caves and on sandbanks in the gorge

Return to Batoka base camp for a welcome hot shower and meal. Overnight at base camp. For those energetic few an optional booze cruise can be arranged.

Victoria Falls - Messina

The return journey homeward starts very early as we travel south through the town of Bulawayo to our final over night stop in the vacinity of Messina Arriving late afternoon for a sumptuous traditional "Potjie kos " dinner
